For another year running, Ferrero demonstrates its commitment to positively contributing to the planet and the people it works with through its social responsibility strategy: “Sharing values to create value”.

Ferrero’s 9th report sees important developments in all areas of our activities. Key results include the increased number of woman in senior management roles, in line with its objective to achieve a 5% increase by 2020. Furthermore, the Kinder+Sport programme has been extended to 30 countries, moving 4 million children, whilst in our raw material procurement strategy, Ferrero reached 70% of certified cocoa, 25% traceability of its hazelnuts and extended its commitment to reach a 100% supply of eggs from barn hens globally.

“Our passion for creating the highest quality products defines our everyday activities all the way back to sourcing the very best raw materials. The ‘very best’ not only in terms of product excellence but also in terms of rigorous criteria in sustainability, which we apply all along our value chain in partnership with a multitude of stakeholders.” confirms Giovanni Ferrero, Executive Chairman of the Ferrero Group.

In addition to confirming all the commitments of its corporate social responsibility strategy for 2020, Ferrero connects all its Group business themes to the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), to support the accomplishment of the SDGs by 2030.

All of Ferrero’s activities were defined according to the expectations and priorities of its stakeholders, and shape its global value chain into a journey of responsibility.

Ferrero’s CSR report has been submitted to GRI to perform the GRI Content Index Service, in addition to being subject to a limited assurance engagement by a third party auditor.
